Following our work with AFAO on the Us Mob & HIV website and campaign, we were challenged to develop new branding and a new website for Better to Know, a sexual health resource for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Leading Hand Design worked alongside AFAO’s Project Officers for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and Indigenous design agency Bayila Creative, to develop a bespoke logo and set of creative elements that tells the story of Better to Know. The guiding philosophy for the logo is about protecting and empowering Indigenous Australians and their communities.
The Better to Know website and branding complements the branding developed for Us Mob and HIV. However, the Better to Know website differs in its unique colour palette, curved shapes and unique Indigenous design elements developed from the logo.
The website features resources for Indigenous Australians about STIs. It also features a nation-wide notification service to inform partners about sexual health risks and a reminder facility for sexual-health services. Most importantly it is a hub where people can find registered clinics, Aboriginal Medical services and associated organisations for additional help and support.
