Our 7-week(!) challenge was to produce a wide-ranging Austrade edtech report on the Australian Education Technology (edtech) industry. This included a printed report, website, interactive PDF, PowerPoint deck and video.
We began our initial copywriting on 8th May. Led by our senior writer Cate, we worked closely with Austrade to adapt over 80 pages of source material into a 40-page version that would tell a compelling story about our innovative industry’s capabilities and potential.
In tandem, we began designing and building a comprehensive website to showcase the Australian edtech story. Complete with a range of features and in-built functionality, Leading Hand’s web experts created custom visuals, full screen video, animated infographics and multiple navigation options. The utmost consideration was given to user-flow, and ensuring this new microsite would integrate into the Austrade digital landscape, all while working to meet the strict requirements of WCAG 2.0 AA Accessibility Guidelines.
Next came the printed edition for which we coordinated the print management, the interactive PDF and PowerPoint versions. As part of the Austrade edtech report we also produced a bespoke 4-minute industry video (with closed captions) from end to end. This featured some of Australia’s top experts in the edtech field and showcased new and emerging trends in the exciting area of education innovation.
Throughout this tight project schedule, we worked closely with Austrade to ensure key stakeholders approved editorial, design and technical decisions at milestone dates, to comfortably meet our 30th June deadline.
The entire team effort resulted is a suite of resources for the Austrade edtech report delivered on time and budget that met our client’s expectations and then some.
Sarah Stanton-French, International Education Adviser, Austrade
“The entire team at Leading Hand were a pleasure to work with. They delivered a large-scale project with numerous, concurrent deliverables, in a tight timeframe, with a finite budget. Their project management skills and design outputs were to a very high standard. They were solution-focussed and often suggested multiple work-arounds when presented with a challenge. They also shared insights and lessons from their industry experience freely. I look forward to continue to working with them!”
