CHALLENGE
To enhance the quality, consistency and effect of AFAO’s online presence and branding.
SOLUTION
We refreshed the AFAO website’s overall aesthetic by developing a series of bespoke website banners. This suite of illustrated tiles adds additional collateral to AFAO’s visual identity and creates a cohesive and modern look and feel across the site. Every banner is unique because each illustration was customised to the contents of the page.
Over the recent years AFAO’s work has expanded, with the goal to defeat HIV and new HIV infections across Australia, Asia and the Pacific. Their work internationally focuses on the development of effective responses to HIV/AIDS, particularly towards communities where HIV is highly prevalent and groups where there is a greater risk of acquiring HIV.
The AFAO illustrated banners were designed to reflect AFAO’s growing scope of work. AFAO’s values of inclusivity, accessibility and diversity were important in representing AFAO’s audience through these banner illustrations. Each individual character was illustrated with different characteristics such as race, ethnicity, age, gender or accessibility level.
