As cyber security became increasingly important, Leading Hand was lucky enough to work with the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC) across its 7-year lifespan.

From 2018 to 2025, this not-for-profit collaboration between industry, government and academia focused on developing cyber security capability and capacity to enable Australia to meet new challenges.
Our involvement with CSCRC began with the design and customised print production of a promotional ‘members pack’, including the development of a striking series of icons based on existing brand guidelines. From then on, we handled all the design outputs for the research centre: from video production and web design to annual report templates to event signage and collateral.
In redesigning CSCRC’s website, we refreshed the visuals and elevated the brand guidelines by introducing a new ‘modern tech’ tone through a mix of directed photography, bespoke icons and animation. The result met the client’s brief for a professional, clean and sophisticated site.
Our other creative achievements for CSCRC included animated videos covering key critical issues and frequent white papers, each with a unique design concept. We even created a board game, Corporates Compromised – a learning tool for people working in the cyber security space.
CSCRC’s evidence-based commentary during its tenure played a key role in cyber security advocacy and fostered the next generation of Australian cyber security talent. It was a privilege – and a surprisingly creative one – for Leading Hand to have been involved in this country’s future security.
