Partners with Purpose: Adora Fertility

When Mandy Cooper moved from IPAA to Adora Fertility, she brought Leading Hand with her. We discuss trust, values and what makes creative partnerships last.

The best client relationships are built over time – and sometimes travel from one organisation to another. Mandy Cooper first worked with Leading Hand at the Institute of Public Administration Australia in 2019. When she joined Adora Fertility, she got in touch again and, since August 2024, we have worked closely with Mandy and the Adora team across their communications.

Adora was established to make fertility treatment more affordable and accessible without compromising the quality of care. That purpose makes the fit with Leading Hand especially natural: both organisations believe specialist expertise should be used to improve people’s lives and that clear, considered communication can make complex experiences easier to navigate.

As we approach two years of working together at Adora, we’re turning the questions around and asking Mandy what makes a creative partnership work, how shared values shape the relationship and whether our mutual devotion to the Sydney Swans had anything to do with it:

You first worked with us at IPAA. What made you call us again when you joined Adora?
LH have always been great to work with, their turn around time is quick and they always seem to nail the brief first go. It can take a while to understand how each other works, how teams think and what brands stand for, once you have this relationship the process is quick and easy. At Adora Fertility we need creatives turned around quickly so it was important to have a team who understand the way we work.

What do you value most about the way we work together?
LH take the time to understand you as an organisation and your brand values, I really value this as it streamlines the briefing process and makes my job easier.

How important is it that Leading Hand understand Adora's purpose?
This is what drew me to LH, their thorough understanding of Adora’s purpose is extremely important. We see LH as an extension of the Adora team.

What makes feedback, approvals and the day-to-day relationship work well?
LH always respond same day – we know where each task is up to without having to chase.

What would you say to another organisation considering working with Leading Hand?
Take the time to get to know one another, take the time to work through your brand values and mission together, the rest will fall into place.

Finally, did the fact that Brett and Jamie are Sydney Swans supporters help seal the deal?
Yes, maybe! Although I didn’t know this prior. But it has certainly helped and I’m looking forward to the day we can attend a game together!
