CHALLENGE
To implement a new brand and messaging for the 2024 Festival across all facets of the SWF campaign.
SOLUTION
Leading Hand were given new brand assets by George Saad Studio to build the campaign collateral for the 2024 Sydney Writers’ Festival. This rollout included hundreds pieces of artwork including bookmarks, business cards, digital advertising, fundraising materials, print ads, maps, booths, banners, brochures, event branding and even oversized paper planes hanging around in the public areas at Carriageworks, the primary SWF venue.
RESULT
Total attendance was 91,680, encompassing both on-site attendance and digital engagement, marking a significant increase from the previous year’s 83,339 attendees.
The festival’s educational outreach programs, including sessions for primary, secondary, and NESA students, witnessed an increase in participation, with over 10,000 students immersed in interactive sessions at various venues. This is up from 6248 students in 2023.
