CLIENT
St Vincent’s Hospital

CHALLENGE
To decorate several spaces within the hospital with the Dalarinji artwork to assist with the hospital’s program to to communicate that St Vincent’s is a culturally safe and respectful environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

SOLUTION
We were invited to develop a range of signage and decal solutions for key spaces within the hospital, utilising the Dalarinji brand, which is the Aboriginal visual identity of St Vincent’s Health Network Sydney.

The name Dalarinji means “belonging to us”. St Vincent’s has been given permission to use this name from the Metropolitan Aboriginal Land Council and Elders.

Working with the hospital communications team we created new signage for the Emergency Waiting Room and decals for the Emergency Department and several new spaces within the hospital, including the Dalarinji Room.

The designs are beautiful and create a sense of calm and are welcoming and soothing. Additional decals are being rolled out across the hospital.

Thanks again to our partners on this project, Owen Signs.
