Getting in Shape Online Workshop

Getting In Shape Online Workshop, is a one day workshop designed to help authors improve their online presence.

In partnership with the Australian Society of Authors and the Australian Publishers Association we are excited to announce our Getting In Shape Online Workshop specifically designed for Authors.

Increasingly, authors are required to be active promoters of their personal brand and of their books. This now means authors need to have at least a basic knowledge of digital marketing and specifically how to create a professional online presence, even if that only means getting a website in place and setting up a social media channel.

This one-day workshop covers websites, social media, enewsletters, search engine optimisation (+ keywords and writing for web more generally), the basic legal landscape with regards e.g. enewsletters and social media activity – and finally how to decide on the right approach to help you troubleshoot issues, keep your online presence up-to-date and performing well all year round.

Facilitators
Facilitated by Brett Osmond who has over 20 years’ experience in book publishing and digital marketing having worked with Richard Flanagan, Nigella Lawson, Stephen King, Tom Keneally, Susan Duncan, Lee Child, James Patterson, John Boyne and many other leading authors and Jason Williams, whose extensive knowledge encompasses user experience and user interface design in web development and web-app development, through to SEO, SEM, social media and website hosting solutions.
