Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre

The chance to develop the brand identity for a new fitness and aquatic complex in Sydney’s north-west came from our established relationship with The Hills Shire Council, since our first job with ‘the Hills’ in 2019.

Summary

Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre was to replace – and eclipse – the 54-year-old local pool, and we readily jumped aboard this exciting project to design a full logo suite and comprehensive brand identity rollout for the new facility.

Leading Hand delivered two initial concepts that depicted the elements of water, swimming and fitness. Choosing the final concept was a highly collaborative, smooth and rewarding process for all involved, and we supported the selection with comprehensive brand guidelines to direct the application of the visual identity for centre management. The result was an engaging and exciting look for the new facility that reflected its purpose and benefits to the Hills community.

Since Waves opened in September 2022, we’ve been their designers for any additional print and digital collateral needs. We’ve delivered an extensive range of signage, posters, DL flyers, social media tiles, business cards, wall decals and media walls, letterheads, email signatures and brochures.

The Hills Shire Council’s largest-ever project, Waves highlights what the local government sector can achieve for its communities. The centre features the latest environmentally friendly technology, such as solar panels and electric car charging stations, with wheelchair-accessible pathways, access ramps and accessible change rooms, gym equipment and toilets.

Attracting over 600,000 visitors annually, Waves brings health, wellness and social benefits to the Hills residents.
