InterAction is the leading national independent body by and for intersex people – those with innate variations of sex characteristics.
The organisation promotes the health, human rights, psychosocial and peer support, and body autonomy and self-determination of intersex people in Australia through community-building, education, resources and programs. We began working with InterAction in early 2025.
Our first project with InterAction was a complete website refresh, reflecting the merger of its predecessor organisations, Intersex Human Rights Australia and Intersex Peer Support Australia.
Through weekly meetings, we worked with the InterAction team to develop a clear, clean and colourful visual design and an easily navigable structure for the new site. Importantly, the previous organisations’ websites contained a rich catalogue of relevant and informative resources to be migrated across, so once the site was ready, we made sure all this valuable content made its way safely to its new home.
The site now presents InterAction’s programs and resources in a clear, consistent and attractive interface. News, events and information are easier to find and filter, and a directory of intersex community groups and organisations puts local connection within reach.
InterAction and its predecessor organisations have made significant contributions to intersex health and human rights policy and practice in Australia and internationally. In supporting InterAction’s amalgamation and rebrand, we are proud to support its ongoing work to create a society where intersex bodies aren’t stigmatised and people’s rights are respected, protected and fulfilled.
