The Hills Shire Council administers a growing community in Sydney’s north-west.
Our relationship with ‘the Hills’ began in 2019 when we were tasked with designing the look and feel of its Australia Day 2020 event. Since then, we’ve worked with the council regularly on a variety of projects, producing an impressive variety of assets.
A few years on, we’ve now led the branding and design for so many council events: Australia Day (2020–2025), the Orange Blossom Festival (2023), Lunar New Year (2024 and 2025), NAIDOC Week (2024 and 2025), Youth Week (2024) and International Disability Day (2024).
One key collaboration with Hills Shire was the brand development for the exciting new Waves Fitness & Aquatic Centre in Baulkham Hills. In contrast, we also produce more administratively focused assets for local initiatives, such as the council’s 5-year Resource Recovery Program and other community and infrastructure development plans.
This broad catalogue of work calls for everything a designer could dream up: flyers and brochures, letterheads and PowerPoint slides, print and digital reports, posters and maps, flags and banners, media walls and stage backdrops, environmental and wayfinding signage, photo moments and social media tiles, email signatures and business cards, and animations.
Our work in this ongoing collaboration has helped shape the visual identity of The Hills Shire’s most celebrated events and vital public initiatives. By enhancing how the council communicates to its residents, we feel that we’ve played a part in enriching community connection and the overall liveability of the Hills district.
