Elder abuse is a serious issue that affects many older Australians and society as a whole.

Elder Abuse Action Australia is working to eliminate this growing problem through advocacy, policy development, research and capacity building. Widely known as ‘EAAA’, this specialist organisation is a committed and active campaigner for the rights and recognition of older Australians. Leading Hand has worked with EAAA’s executive officer, Bev Lange, since 2021 in a longstanding, productive partnership that helps make a difference.
Our biggest collaboration with EAAA is the Compass information hub, a government-funded central resource connecting older people to information, advice and service providers. We also produce EAAA’s annual reports, from concept to publication, and we recently delivered new branding, including a logo and a full set of branding guidelines.
We assist EAAA with its yearly elder abuse conferences, which are attended by the sector, government agencies, interested older Australians and their friends and families. For each conference, our role involves designing a completely new visual identity, creating a standalone website, and designing and rolling out associated collateral.
With more and more Australians entering their later years, EAAA’s work is vital for achieving powerful and lasting change around elder abuse. Leading Hand’s partnership with this energetic organisation helps to spread the message of taking action against elder abuse and positively impacts the lives of older Australians, their families, their communities and broader society. We are honoured to be involved in this much-needed action.
