City of Parramatta, a major local government body in Sydney’s western suburbs, serves around 270,000 residents and operates 9 libraries and information centres.

Our relationship with the council emerged through our longstanding associations with Parramatta’s Riverside Theatres and the National Theatre of Parramatta. Our first council project was the library summer events calendar for 2018–2019.
For that first calendar, we listened closely to the libraries’ needs and ambitions for re-imagining the series before making our recommendations. The decision to change the calendar’s format allowed us to develop two fresh, colourful concepts that allowed City of Parramatta more room to showcase its diverse range of courses and events. We’ve now branded and produced the Parramatta Libraries’ seasonal events calendars every year since 2018 – an amazing 18 calendars, as of May 2025!
We’ve also delivered environmental graphic design for the council’s Discover Parramatta campaign, in the form of vibrant, integrated window decals fitted to street-facing windows at Riverside Theatres. The campaign aimed to promote the city’s heritage, culture, festivals, nature and food.
Councils serve a vital role for their citizens in more than just service administration. Our ongoing work with the City of Parramatta helps enrich residents’ lifestyles by promoting community events and activities. We were amazed by the range of programs on offer in Parramatta: from craft workshops and 3D printing classes to technology courses for older people and language help in Mandarin and Chinese. As always, we’re glad we can play our part.
